Alden Richards Remembers Late Jaclyn Jose Once More
ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso actor and businessman Alden Richards honors the memory of the internationally acclaimed Filipina actress Jaclyn Jose again.
Alden Richards took on the role of the sole host at the 2nd Parangal ng Sining event organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), held at Seda Hotel, Vertis North, Quezon City, on the evening of Friday, April 19, 2024.
Under the leadership of Chair Jose Javier Reyes, the FDCP made a commendable decision in appointing Alden as the Master of Ceremonies, recognizing his exceptional fulfillment of the entrusted responsibilities.
The late acclaimed actress Jaclyn Jose was among those honored with a posthumous Honorary Distinction in the Arts, acknowledging her invaluable contributions to the Filipino film industry as a distinguished actress. Collaborating on GMA-7 teleseryes like Ilustrado (2014) and The World Between Us (2021) brought Alden and Jaclyn closer together, deepening their bond.
Alden Richards was profoundly affected by Jaclyn’s passing on March 2, 2024, due to their close friendship. Following Andi Eigenmann’s acceptance of the award on behalf of her late mother, Alden delivered a brief speech, expressing his heartfelt sentiments.
The prominent actor said, “Congratulations sa ating Tita Jane.
“At tulad po ng marami dito, e, nakatrabaho ko rin po ng maraming beses ang nag-iisang Miss Jaclyn Jose.
“At Tita Jane, wherever you are, I hope you are happy.
“And may you rest in peace, Tita Jane. Hinding-hindi ka namin malilimutan.”
According to a report from PEP, observers witnessed Alden Richards’ affection for Jaclyn as he attentively listened to every word spoken by the late actress’s eldest daughter, expressing gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her mother. The presentation of the posthumous Honorary Distinction to Jaclyn marked the conclusion of the program.
