  • 1 lb. chicken skin removed
  • 1/2 lb elbow macaroni
  • 2 ounces ham chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion minced
  • 4 stalks celery minced
  • 1 large carrot diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh milk or 1 14 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 to 8 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ cups chopped cabbage (optional)

The second part of the chicken macaroni soup recipe are the steps in cooking the soup. It may take around one (1) hour and 30 minutes to cook the soup. Here is a guide on how to cook this delicious dish:

Add the water into the pot and bring it to boil. Add the chicken and switch the fire to low to medium heat. Cook chicken for 45 minutes or until it is tender.
