SNAKE ON A PLANE – Passengers aboard a Thai AirAsia flight traveling from Bangkok to Phuket were taken aback when a snake was discovered moving around inside one of the overhead compartments in the cabin.
A TikTok video featuring the unexpected reptilian visitor was posted by user @wannabnailssalon and has garnered 3.4 million views on the platform. The incident, believed to have occurred on January 13, unfolded on an AirAsia Airbus A320. As the snake became known, some passengers quickly vacated their seats, while others captured the unusual event on camera.
In the video footage, a flight attendant is seen attempting unsuccessfully to confine the snake in an empty water bottle. Eventually, the reptile was managed to be corralled into a rubbish bag using the water bottle.
The circumstances leading to the snake’s presence on the plane remain unclear. Reports suggest that the scaly intruder was noticed as the aircraft was preparing to land at Phuket International Airport. Upon landing, ground safety officers were alerted to inspect the plane for any additional snakes, but none were found.
Commenters on the TikTok video speculated on how the snake could have infiltrated the aircraft’s cabin, while some drew parallels with the Hollywood film “Snakes On A Plane,” where venomous snakes are deliberately set loose on a passenger plane in an attempt to eliminate a trial witness.
