Hontiveros Says Quiboloy and Senior Agila’s Recruiting Styles are Similar

The recruiting styles of Quiboloy and Senior Agila are similar according to Hontiveros

RISA HONTIVEROS – The senator said that the recruiting styles of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and Socorro Bayanihan Services Incorporated (SBSI) headed by Jay Rence Quilario, also known as Senyor Agila, are quite similar.

Hontiveros mentioned that during hearings, she noticed striking similarities in the methods used by both groups to attract members.

Arlene Stone, one of the former members of KOJC, testified at the Senate hearing regarding Quiboloy’s alleged abuses.

Hontiveros claimed that both Quiboloy and Senior Agila are charismatic figures demanding “absolute obedience.” Members who do not comply or go against their rules are reportedly punished.

Yan din ginagawa ni Pastor sa kanyang mga pastorals,” added the senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality.

Hontiveros concluded that there are many similarities in the characteristics of these two organizations, with the Kingdom being larger and a longer-established organization.
