Kier Legaspi on Dani Barretto: “Matagal na kaming hindi nakakapag-usap”
KIER LEGASPI – The “Black Rider” actor recently shared that he’s no longer in communication with his daughter, Dani Barretto.
The actor, who returned to acting as he currently stars in Kapuso series “Black Rider”, is the celebrity guest in the latest of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast.
Dani Barretto is the daughter Kier Legaspi with former partner Marjorie Barretto.
Kier said in an interview with broadcast journalist Nelson Canlas that it’s been a long while since the last time he spoke with Dani. However, the actor mentioned that his daughter reached out to him once.
“Matagal na kaming hindi nakakapag-usap,” he said. “But in fairness to her, once tumawag siya, nangumusta,” he added. “Ang sabi niya nga sa akin noon parang gusto niyang makilala, kumbaga [makilala ko] ‘yung anak niya, magkita lahat, maayos lahat.”
That conversation, according to him, was their last communication and the reunion never happened.
The actor also said that his lines are always open for his daughter should she try to reach out to him again, adding that he used to chase his daughter in order to keep their connection. After all, he said that he will always be there for his daughter and her family.
It can be recalled that Dani told GMA News Online last 2021 that her father also has her number and that he could call her anytime.
At that time, Dani said that her phone is always open, adding that her father is welcome to come to their house anytime to talk about those things and to finally meet his granddaughter.
Dani Barretto and Xavi Panlilio got married in 2019 and welcomed their firstborn, Camilla Marguerite, five months later.
