Kier Legaspi on relationship with daughter Dani Barretto: “Ipinasa-Diyos ko na lang”
KIER LEGASPI – The actor disclosed that it had been quite a while since he last spoke with his daughter, Dani Barretto.
During an interview, Kier openly shared that he hadn’t been actively attempting to communicate with his daughter with former partner, Marjorie Barretto. He expressed hope that they would have an opportunity to reunite in the future.
Kier mentioned that he hadn’t had the chance to reconnect with Dani after parting ways with Marjorie. Nevertheless, he emphasized his willingness to assist Dani if there was a way for them to reunite, saying, “I’m just here, if you need me. Ang relationship ko sa kanya, ipinasa-Diyos ko na lang.”
Reflecting on the deterioration of his relationship with Dani, Kier admitted he was perplexed, as he had always strived to be a responsible father to his daughter. He lamented, “Wala naman nakakita ng mga sacrifice ko kung papaano ko minahal si Aynrand, kung paano ko siya inaruga wala naman nakakita, eh. Hanggang ngayon wala naman akong kakampi which is okay kasi ang tao paniniwalaan niya ang gusto niyang paniwalaan pero ang Diyos hindi ganu’n.”
In a 2019 interview, Dani expressed her strained relationship with Kier, stating, “To be honest, my dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my dad and that’s it. We had a brief relationship which was like two months. It was nice.”
Meanwhile, it can be deduced that Kier Legaspi is facing a similar challenge with Dennis Padilla, another former partner of Marjorie. Despite Dennis’s repeated attempts to reach his children through Marjorie, these efforts always ended in disappointment. As of press time, Dani Barretto has yet to give any reaction to the statement of her father about them.
