Lovi Poe: “I was actually very happy alone. Let’s just put it this way. I’m happier when I’m with Monty.”
LOVI POE – The actress revealed that she never saw herself settling down until she met her now-husband Montgomery “Monty” Blencowe.
The actress, who currently stars in the action-drama series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”, faced the entertainment press in an intimate launch of Imono Jewelry’s holiday collection last Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Lovi was asked in an interview what made scientist Monty Blencowe stood out for her and what made her say yes to him.
The actress shared that comparing people is not her thing, but she also said there’s a reason why Monty is her husband. According to her, there are a lot of things that should be considered when choosing a partner but she saw qualities in Monty that made her see herself with him.
She went on to reveal that she never saw herself settling down and she was also happy in her single-blessedness.
“Let’s just put it this way. I never saw myself settling down. And I would always say that I wouldn’t give in to, you know, everyone would say, you have to get married at a certain age, and that wasn’t something that I was even pressured to do,” she said. “I was actually very happy alone. Let’s just put it this way. I’m happier when I’m with Monty.”
Lovi and Monty got married in a ceremony held at the Cliveden House in England last August.
The “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” actress immediately flew back to the Philippines after their wedding and she has not seen her husband again. However, the actress said that she would probably have plans to see her husband this Christmas.
In the same interview, Lovi Poe said that she and Monty have no plans to have a baby yet because they want to focus on work and on them being together at the moment.
