Rendon Labador is Furious About the High Price of Eggs

Rendon Labador: “Nagagalit ako kasi ang taas na ng presyo ng itlog”

RENDON LABADOR – The controversial social media personality expressed his anger over the soaring egg prices.

The surge in retail egg prices is projected to persist until the first semester of 2024 due to anticipated high demand during Christmas and a decline in production, as reported by the United Broiler Raisers Association (UBRA) and Philippine Egg Board (PEB).”

According to the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) monitoring, the retail price of medium-sized eggs is at least P8.50 each. AGAP Party-list Representative Nicanor Briones suggested that it would be ‘better’ for eggs to be sold by the kilo, similar to meat. Local supermarkets typically sell eggs by the dozen, with prices varying based on their size: small, medium, large, extra-large, and jumbo.

In the midst of the surge in egg prices, Rendon Labador couldn’t help but voice his frustration. He noted that it is impacting the fitness industry, emphasizing that people in the gym rely on eggs for their protein intake. He questions why egg prices in the country are rising despite no shortage or bird flu.

“Nagagalit ako kasi ang taas na ng presyo ng itlog. Hindi na kami papayag. Apektado ‘yung fitness industry lalong-lalo na ‘yung mga mahihirap nating kababayan,” he said in an interview with News5. “Nananahimik ako sa gym eh. Pero ‘pag ganito, hindi ako makakapayag na ganito ‘yung mangyayari sa’tin. Gawan ninyo ng paraan ‘yan. Gawin ninyo ang lahat para mapababa ang presyo ng itlog,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rendon Labador is recognized as a fitness coach, social media personality, and business figure. He gained fame for his motivational speeches and discussions on various topics, including legal issues involving Awra Briguela, Vice Ganda’s dispute with the MTRCB, the recent breakup of Andrea Brillantes, the separation of Moira Dela Torre and Jason Hernandez, Paolo Contis’ financial support concerns, the Pura Luka Vega controversy, and many other subjects.
