Nowadays, it’s important to stay vigilant and be aware of potential scams or deceitful schemes. One term often used to describe the way criminals operate is “modus operandi,” which refers to their methods or patterns.
Modus operandi, often shortened to “modus,” is a Latin term that translates to “mode of operation” in English. In the context of crime and scams, it refers to the characteristic way in which a person or group carries out their illegal activities.
Scammers often rely on deception to achieve their goals. This may involve creating fake identities, using misleading information, or pretending to be someone trustworthy. Many scams involve building a false sense of trust with the victim.
Recently, the Facebook page “Sadao” shared video footage of a man who used a heartbreaking scheme to lure his victims. The video immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited reactions from the online community.
