‘Kalokalike’ of Angel Locsin Dies

ANGEL MYSTICA – The “kalokalike” of Angel Locsin, whose real name is Mystica S. Barata, passed away on November 21, 2023.

Angel Mystica gained fame for her resemblance to the versatile actress and acclaimed “real-life Darna,” Angel Locsin, who is currently on a showbiz and social media hiatus. She even joined the “Kalokalike” segment of the noontime show “It’s Showtime.”

It was on September 15, 2023, when Angel’s sister, “Elena Solla Malyn,” appealed for financial assistance for Angel’s hospitalization after she suffered an aneurysm. “My beloved sister, Mystica, is currently unconscious and admitted to the ICU. The medical expenses are huge, and we’re in dire need of support,” Elena said back then.

“RAP Production” also expressed their sympathy on her passing. “WE ARE SAD TO TELL YOU EVERYONE THAT OUR DEAREST ANGEL MYSTICA IS FINDING HER PEACE AND WAY BACK HOME TO THE HAND OF THE LORD,” they said.

A certain “Jerson Domalaon” organized a donation drive for expenses related to Angel’s passing. Many netizens expressed their condolences and shared testimonials about how kind-hearted Mystica was. Angel Mystica’s relatives have not provided details about her wake.

Meanwhile, the real Angel Locsin has yet to give any reaction to the passing of her “kalokalike.” The public hasn’t seen Angel for over a year. Her last public appearance was on August 13, 2022, through an Instagram post, which she later deleted. Her husband, Neil Arce, is more active on social media, but he doesn’t feature Angel in his posts either.

Because of her “missing in action,” there were even rumors that she and her husband might have broken up. Neil refuted the rumors by saying, “Me and my wife are charitable people. Donation na po namin sa fake news peddlers ‘yang kikitain nila sa pagpakalat ng fake news. Besides deserve naman ng followers and subscribers nila makarinig ng kasinungalingan.”
