Kaila Estrada defends acting of Anji Salvacion
KAILA ESTRADA – The daughter of Janice de Belen and John Estrada stood up for Anji Salvacion amidst the criticism she has been receiving over her performance in “Linlang.”
Anji, a former Pinoy Big Brother winner, is currently making waves online due to her role in the Prime Video original series, “Linlang.” In this thriller drama starring Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, and JM de Guzman, she plays the character of Kate Alcantara.
While Kaila is being praised for her role as Sylvia Lualhati, and applauded for her ability to compete with the esteemed actresses of the country, including Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, Anji, on the other hand, faced criticism for her acting.
This prompted Kaila to speak out in support of her fellow actress. During an interview with the entertainment press at the black carpet event ‘Opulence: The Halloween Ball 2023,’ organized by Raymond Gutierrez, she said, “I was nervous din kung tatanggapin ng tao na ako ‘yung gaganap but I’m grateful that everybody is supporting ‘Linlang’ and I’m very grateful din for the feedback that I’ve got so far.”
“I understand that criticism is part of it. We welcome it kasi we learn from the criticisms that we received but I think some people may have thought taking it too far. I really hope we could just be kinder and nicer and more responsible on what we say online kasi hindi naman natin alam ang magiging effect nun sa kanya,” she appealed.
Meanwhile, actor Christian Bables also defended Anji Salvacion. On Twitter, he noted: “I am excited for you to unleash the brilliant actress in you (emoji) For as long as you admit there’s a huge room for improvement, ok na yun. The rest ingay lang. Please never give up on learning your craft. Meron yan, Anji. I believe in you (emoji).”
