Two witnesses surfaced claiming they saw Catherine Camilon covered in blood

CATHERINE CAMILON CASE – Two individuals have emerged and claimed to have witnessed the missing beauty queen, covered in blood while being moved from her car to another vehicle.

As per Marisol Abdurahman’s report on “24 Oras,” the witnesses reported the incident occurring on the night of October 12, where they encountered one of the persons of interest who brandished a gun at them. “Umiihi du’n sa lugar, nakita n’ung suspect natin, lumapit sa kanila, at tinutukan sila ng baril,” stated Major General Romeo Caramat Jr., Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Before sighting the person of interest, the witnesses observed three men transferring the bloodied victim from her car to another vehicle. The individual wielding the gun was reportedly the private driver of another person of interest.

“Through the rogue’s gallery of the CIDG, they positively identified and they were very certain about it,” stated Caramat, concerning the gunman, who was identified based on his tattoo and physical characteristics.

The CIDG is currently considering a romantic relationship as a potential motive for the crime. The CIDG official mentioned their ongoing efforts in gathering additional evidence to bolster the case against the person of interest.

Meanwhile, according to PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr., there has been “significant progress” in the investigation. Consequently, he urged those involved in her disappearance to surrender. “What can I say, there is significant progress in the investigation. And that’s why I am appealing now to those who are involved sana sumuko na,” he said.

However, Acorda declined to disclose any new information from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) regarding the case. Previously, it was reported that the person of interest in Catherine’s disappearance was identified. This individual, a police officer, was romantically linked to the missing beauty queen.

Another person of interest, facing estafa and carnapping charges, has been identified. This second person is the owner of the car used by Catherine on the day she went missing. It was discovered that the name and address on the car’s deed of sale were fake.
