Eric Fructuoso reveals that he and Claudine Barretto dated before
ERIC FRUCTUOSO – The actor revealed his past relationship with the Optimum Star, Claudine Barretto.
Frederick John Marco Magdaluyo Fructuoso, born on March 31, 1976, in Parañaque, Philippines, is a versatile Filipino actor, comedian, businessman, and former hip-hop dancer. Rising to fame in the early 1990s as a member of the teen boy group “Gwapings,” alongside Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana, and later, Jao Mapa, Fructuoso has established himself in the entertainment industry.
In recent years, Fructuoso has shifted towards portraying mature roles, particularly embracing villain roles, father characters, and supporting roles in various productions.
On a personal note, Fructuoso is the grandson of Carlos Magdaluyo, a former director of PAGCOR, and has Aklanon descent. His romantic history includes past relationships with notable actresses Ara Mina, Joyce Jimenez, Aubrey Miles, Priscilla Almeda, and Toni Gonzaga. He was also Claudine Barretto’s boyfriend before Mark Anthony Fernandez.
In the realm of the family, Fructuoso was married to a non-showbiz woman named Gian, with whom he shares four children. Unfortunately, they separated in 2021 after 16 years of marriage.
Beyond his acting career, Fructuoso delved into business, having owned a construction business with his ex-wife Gian. Presently, he owns a fast-food chain named Gwapigs Porkchop and a motorcycle shop called Gwapings Moto Powered by ETech.

It was just recently when Eric guested on the GMA-7 lifestyle show Sarap, Di Ba? along with his fellow Gwapings Mark Anthony Fernandez and Jao Mapa.
During their guesting, Eric confirmed that he and Toni had a relationship that lasted for three (3) years. He was then asked who came first as his girlfriend between Claudine and Toni. He confirmed that it was “Clau” or Claudine. Apparently, Eric did not reveal further about his relationship with Claudine.
