Ruffa Gutierrez: “Kaya lagi akong pinapagalitan ni mommy. Hindi raw ako marunong pumili”
RUFFA GUTIERREZ – The “Can’t Buy Me Love” actress recently shared the opinions of her mother, Annabelle Rama, about her past choices in men.
The actress currently star in the series titled “Can’t Buy Me Love”. Other cast members include Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan, Maris Racal, Albie Casiño, Agot Isidro, Rowell Santiago, Nova Villa, Celeste Legazpi, and many more.
Ruffa was asked in an interview at the media conference for the series if it’s okay to date even if one is broke. According to her, it’s okay to go on dates even if one doesn’t have money and a couple can hold hands, sit in the park, look at the sky, and dream together that one day they will have the money.
But when she was asked if she did that kind of date, the actress admitted doing it then. The actress added that her mother scolded her because of her choices in men when it came to her past relationships.
In a separate interview with the entertainment press, Ruffa said they have come a long way from her younger years when her mother used to meddle in her love life.
“We are so much better now because when I was younger, my mom was so pakialamera when it came to my love life,” she said. “I think ngayon lang yata siya hindi masyadong pakialamera. Pero may mga pasundot-sundot pa rin. But I think it’s very true that (even) if you don’t have money, ‘di mag-date kayo and dream together. Pwede naman… Even if you don’t have the budget. I think that’s the feeling of pure love.”
According to her, her relationship with her mother is much better and there’s always love that’s going to be there between them. She also expressed her belief in maintaining a positive outlook on love despite past hurts.
To recall, the actress shared in a previous interview with reporters that there’s no issue between her and ABS-CBN because she has a “good relationship” with the Kapamilya network. She also said that she’s working on a freelance basis.
