JAY CONTRERAS – The vocalist of Kamikazee has chosen “love” amidst the ongoing issues surrounding their band.

It is worth noting that the band has been trending lately after reports emerged that Governor Boboy Hamor of Sorsogon removed them from the event and did not allow them to take the stage for their performance at the Kasanggayahan Festival on Sunday night, October 1.

In the video, the governor expressed his disappointment with the band, led by Jay. “Sana na naintindihan niyo. Hindi ko gusto ito. Kaso sinabi ko nga, may attitude. Hindi na sila makakabalik sa Sorsogon, maniwala kayo sa akin. Maraming banda, maraming banda na gustong magpasaya sa atin. Pero kung ganyan ang ugali, pasensiyahan tayo. Okay?” Governor Hamor stated.

According to “24 Oras,” the governor reportedly became upset with Jay’s band because they refused to take a photo at the new tourist attraction called Thousands Light Roses in the area.

Additionally, the post by Jonathan Valdez, who is in charge of bringing artists and performers to Sorsogon, has also gone viral after sharing his experience with Jay’s band. He mentioned that Imago and I Belong To The Zoo immediately agreed to their request, while Jay’s band gave them a hard time and only agreed 30 minutes before their set. Jonathan also claimed that the governor waited at the venue, but the band did not get out of their van.
