Julius Babao on Gaile Francesca Rait: “Hindi naman daw Magalona ang gamit nu’ng anak at hindi rin pumirma si Francis”
JULIUS BABAO – The veteran broadcast journalist was not able to obtain any “receipt” or proof that Gail Francesca Rait is indeed a child of Francis Magalona.
Reggee Bonoan of Bandera recently bumped into Julius and his wife Tintin Bersola-Babao. During their meeting, he asked the former why Abegail Rait sold the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona’s jersey to Boss Toyo of Pinoy Pawnstars.
According to Julius, “E, HINDI naman daw sila maghahabol (kay Pia Arroyo-Magalona) kaya nila ibinenta ang Jersey ni Francis (Magalona) ay para makatulong kay Francesca.” As Julius explained, selling the jersey for over P500,000 would supposedly be helpful to Gail Francesca. Apparently, he didn’t specify where the money would be used.
When asked what proof Abegail Rait, Gail’s mother, has to claim that Kiko is indeed the father of the child, he said: “Kamukhang-kamukha talaga tinanong ko ‘yung birth certificate, e, hindi naman daw Magalona ang gamit nu’ng anak at hindi rin pumirma si Francis.”
Bonoan noted that it might be difficult for the mother and daughter to convince the public about their claim since nowadays, showing receipts is the way to go. He also asked about the lack of Kiko’s signature on the birth certificate.
Meanwhile, another factor that added to the situation was when Robby Tarroza got involved and stated that Francis and Pia were already separated when Abegail entered his life. Accordingly, they weren’t legally married because Kiko’s children’s mother had a previous marriage.
“Yun nga, e, kung hindi raw annulled ang kasal ni Pia sa una, hindi valid ang kasal nila ni Kiko sa Hongkong, according to Atty. Lorna Kapunan, therefore kung hindi nga, technically ‘single’ si Francis?” Julius added. Julius also mentioned that Abegail and Gail Francesca have faced a lot of online criticism, and he felt sorry for the child.
