Morena Manapat, a Facebook user, shared the photo of her adorable son Peter Elyx wearing an eye-catching costume featuring a replica of a P100,000 electricity bill. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The costume’s photo, which flexes the meticulously crafted and oversized electricity bill, has quickly gained popularity. The brilliant idea came from Peter’s parents, who decided to bring a touch of humor to the traditional trick-or-treating festivities.
“May gaganapin kasi trick or treat dito sa lugar namin. Taunang pa trick or treat ng mga kabataan MSYC. Nagkataon dumating ang bill ng Meralco kaya nagkabiruan kami ng asawa ko na eto mas nakakatakot to. Nagtawanan kami, kaya ginawa agad ng asawa ko,” Manapat said.
According to Peter’s mother, Morena, their family enjoys participating in the annual Halloween trick-or-treat event organized by their community’s youth group.

When the Meralco (Manila Electric Company) bill arrived at their home, Morena and her husband couldn’t resist the opportunity to incorporate it into their Halloween celebration.
“Habang sinusuot costume masaya at excited [kami] na may halong kaba, kasi hindi pa pala bayad bill namin at due date na,” she joked.
