Here’s the message of Ai-Ai delas Alas to Jiro Manio
AI-AI DELAS ALAS – The Comedy Queen gave a message to former child star Jiro Manio after watching his interview with journalist Julius Babao.
It was in 2015 when Ai-Ai helped Jiro with his problems, however, they went their separate ways because Jiro wasn’t cooperating. In an interview, Ai-Ai considered Jiro like a son, but she was upset that he didn’t seem to be trying to improve himself and was wasting the chances she had given him.
Nevertheless, in the latest interview Jiro Manio, he revealed that he was now working as a co-facilitator at the same rehabilitation center where he had once been a patient. He promised, “Hindi na po ako babalik sa bisyo ko, ‘yun ang pinapangako ko.”
Jiro also expressed his gratitude to Ai-Ai for her support. He recalled, “Laking pasalamat ko pa nga po. Birthday ko po noon binati niya po ako, niregaluhan pa po niya ako ng cake. Pinapunta pa niya ako sa restaurant niya, binigyan pa niya ako ng pera.”
Ai-Ai reacted to the interview of Jiro and shared her surprise at seeing his transformation. She remembered attending a charity event on his birthday where he seemed quiet and composed. She didn’t expect him to remember and appreciate everything that had happened. Ai-Ai said, “Nagulat ako nung pumunta ako sa charity noong birthday niya tahimik lang siya, so hindi ko ine-expect na ‘ay naloko natatandaan niya pala lahat ‘yon’ so kung parang natuwa naman ako kasi parang kahit pala papaano na-appreciate pala ni Jiro ‘yung mga nangyari sa kanya noon.”
She also mentioned that during the interview, she saw that Jiro was doing well and expressed her hope that he would continue on this positive path and maintain his recovery. Apparently, Ai-Ai didn’t say whether she would be willing to meet Jiro again.
