Evidently, the OTS personnel panicked, leading her supervisor to instruct her to swallow the money in an attempt to avoid detection during a search. According to the OTS, they have identified the personnel involved in the incident. OTS Administrator Undersecretary Ma.O Aplasca urged informants to promptly report any illegal activities within their ranks.

“Tayo mismo, ipinakulong natin ‘yung sarili nating tao. We even reported them to the public para huwag pamarisan ng iba. Iniutos rin natin yung removal ng jackets at ng bulsa ng kanilang uniform, as a preventive measure para maiwasan yung nakawan, pero it seems na mayroon pang iilan na natitirang hindi gumagawa ng maganda,” said Aplasca.
