Rendon Labador on KSMBPI: “Bakit nung sinita ko lang ang ‘ICING’ bigla nabuo ang grupo ninyo?”
RENDON LABADOR – Here’s what the motivational speaker said when he reacted to an article where it stated that he allegedly “spearheaded” the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI).
It can be recalled that Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) filed a criminal complaint against celebrity couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office last September 11, 2023.
Philippine Star’s Pang-Masa site posted an article last September 14, 2023 where it stated that motivational speaker Rendon Labador allegedly “spearheaded” KSMBPI and the group filed a case against Vice and Ion “bilang ganti” after his social media accounts and email got mass reported.
On Instagram Stories on Sunday, Rendon said that even though he lost all his social media accounts because of the “mass report” that Vice Ganda and It’s Showtime fans wanted, he never thought about “gumanti sa kapwa”.
According to him, he just wanted to correct what Vice and Ion did wrong with the “icing” issue. He also said that the suspension of “It’s Showtime” and a public apology is enough.
“Suspension ng show at isang public apology lang ay sapat na,” he said. “Kung makakasuhan pa sila at mapapatigil ang kanilang show dahil sa ‘ICING’ issue tingin ko ito ay SOBRA NA at maaring politically motivated na ito, at hindi na tama.”
In a separate post on Instagram Stories, the motivational speaker questioned the existence of Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI), saying that he doesn’t approve of such group on social media.
He even asked KSMBPI why their group suddenly formed when he called out Vice and Ion because of the “icing” issue. Aside from this, he also asked the group why they didn’t take action against influencers who are doing profanity on social media.
“Bakit nung sinita ko lang ang “ICING” bigla nabuo ang grupo ninyo? sumulpot kayo ng parang bula?” he said. “Bakit sa dami ng mga influencers na puro kabastusan hindi ninyo aksyunan lahat?”
As of this writing, KSMBPI has yet to respond to Rendon’s post.
