Here’s the reaction of Ogie Diaz on the viral performance of Albie Casiño at a beauty pageant

OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager and vlogger defended actor Albie Casiño who was heavily criticized due to his performance at a beauty pageant.

Recently, a video of Albie went viral as he serenaded the contestants of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023. He sang “Pangarap Lang Kita” by Parokya ni Edgar and “Habang Buhay” by Zack Tabudlo.

Some netizens speculated that Albie might have consumed alcohol backstage before his performance due to his energetic singing style. However, Ogie addressed these speculations in his latest “Showbiz Update” uploaded on YouTube. He shared that Albie’s manager, Leo Dominguez, had confirmed that Albie was not intoxicated.

“Sabi ng manager na si Leo Dominguez, hindi naman daw lasing. Siyempre kung hindi naman daw lasing, bakit naman ganun ka-hyper? Ayan din ‘yung tanong ng iba,” Ogie said.

Ogie explained that Albie has a condition that makes him hyperactive which is known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). According to Ogie, Albie’s mother, Mommy Rina Casiño, has been open about his condition, even back when he was in school. He noted that Albie can focus when reading scripts or during scenes but may struggle with restlessness in other situations.

“May mga times lang talaga na ‘yung comfort zone niya ay natatagpuan niya kapag siya ay [moving],” Ogie added. It can be recalled that it was in 2021 when Albie publicly acknowledged having ADHD and mentioned that regular workouts help him calm his mind.

Ogie concluded by advising all artists who take on performance gigs to perform to the best of their abilities, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and delivering a good performance, especially when hired for a job.
