Albie Casiño Not Drunk While Performing at Beauty Pageant: “Puyat lang!”

The manager of Albie Casiño stated that he wasn’t drunk when performing at Mutya ng Cotabato 2023

ALBIE CASIÑO – The actor’s manager clarified that he was not drunk when he serenaded the candidates of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023.

Leo Dominguez, Albie’s manager, revealed that he spoke with the actor, who denied the claims that he had been drinking before performing at the beauty pageant.

“He [Albie] has ADHD kaya always hyper siya. He did only what was told of him to go to the crowd. He didn’t drink. Puyat siya. His calltime sa airport was 2am, and flight was 5am,” he said.

“Upon arrival in Davao, they brought him straight for rehearsal. Wala pang tulog. Halos dalawang oras din yun na biyahe, kaya nakakapagod din. Pero pinilit pa rin ni Albie na maging lively ang performance niya para sa mga tao,” he added in a text message he sent to PEP Troika.

To recall, the actor trended after his performance at the grand coronation of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023, which took place on Friday, August 25, 2023. In videos that surfaced on social media, he’s singing “Habang Buhay” by Zack Tabudlo in front of the candidates. However, some netizens suggested that the actor appeared slightly tipsy backstage before taking the stage.

A TikTok user commented, “Bakit parang lasing ang beshy ko?” Some also questioned whether Albie intentionally chose to perform in that manner. In the video, Albie seemed somewhat “drunk,” although he is naturally quite lively in real life. He even went down to the audience area, as if he were at a real concert.

Meanwhile, it was in June when Luis Hontiveros faced heavy criticism for singing “Jopay” at the grand coronation of Miss Pagadian 2023. On the other hand, Kapuso actor David Licauco trended for his song number at the grand coronation of Miss Grand Philippines on July 13, 2023.
