A Facebook user named Ronald Lascano has shared the photo of a jeepney driver and his canine companion. The post immediately circulates online and elicits reactions from the netizens.
The 52-year-old netizen from Sampaloc, Manila, shared an inspiring encounter with a jeepney driver and his furry friend that serves as a reminder of the profound bond between humans and their animal companions.
Lascano is walking along Manila City Hall when he hailed a jeepney for his commute. He id not expected that his ride would be different from the rest as he witnessed a jeepney driver having an unexpected passenger.
Ronald, who considers himself a proud “fur parent” to six dogs, was deeply moved by the heartwarming scene. He couldn’t help but capture the moment in a photo and shared it on the Facebook group “SPAR RESCUE OPEN GROUP.”
“Isang driver ng jeep kasama ang aso sa pag ba biyahe ..
Bait naman ni kuya sa alaga nilang aso ..sana lahat pamilya ang turing sa aso natin aspin man o hindi,” Lascano wrote.
The jeepney passenger’s love for animals extends beyond his own pets. Ronald is an advocate for stray dogs and regularly feeds them. He also donates to animal shelters and supports various rescuers who help strays.
The latter emphasized his commitment to helping those in need, saying “Isa rin po ako sa mga nagdo-donate sa mga shelter. If may kaunting sobra sa wallet ko, hinahati ko ‘yan sa iba’t ibang rescuers.”
