Woman Sets New World Record for Burp Louder Than Blender, Electric Drill & Motorbike

Loudest burp by a female in the world

KIMBERLY WINTER – A woman from Maryland, USA, has set a new world record for the loudest burp by a female, as recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Kimberly, who goes by the handle name @kimycola on TikTok, is known as the “Burp Queen” and regularly showcases her loud burping talents on her social media account. Her burps reach an impressive 107.3 decibels, earning her the title of world record holder as of August 2, 2023.

Kimberly surpassed the previous record of 107 decibels set by Elisa Cagnoni of Italy in 2009. The male record holder for the loudest burp is Neville Sharp from Australia, who achieved a burp of 112.7 decibels in 2021. Kimberly’s burp is louder than common household noises such as a blender (70-80 decibels), an electric handheld drill (90-95 decibels), and even a running motorcycle (100-110 decibels).

To achieve this remarkable feat, Kimberly conditioned her body by having breakfast, drinking coffee and beer. She found that these foods and beverages helped enhance the strength of her burp. She experimented with various combinations of food and drinks to amplify her burping capabilities over several weeks.

Kimberly performed her record-breaking burp on an American morning radio talk show. To ensure accurate measurement, she burped in a “dead room,” a soundproof recording space. She took a deep breath before unleashing her powerful burp, manipulating her breathing “into something monstrous and magical,” as she described it.

Spicy foods, soda, and alcohol have been particularly helpful for Kimberly in achieving her loud burps. She recalled that even when she was younger, she noticed her strong burping abilities, sometimes drawing requests from fans on TikTok for specific burping performances during her live sessions.
