E.A.T contestant Mommy Angie turns emotional as she opened up about her longing for her kids

MOMMY ANGIE – Netizens were heartbroken over the story of the 73-year-old E.A.T segment contestant as she opened up about her longing for her kids.

Mommy Angie was one of the contestants in the E.A.T segment “Babala! ‘Wag Kayong Ganuuun.” It’s a game where players are tasked with identifying the correct choices and descriptions among a group of people with distinctive characteristics, past experiences, and emotional revelations.

According to Mommy Angie, she’s living alone because her husband has passed away. She has 2 kids. When Paolo Ballesteros asked where her kids were, she said they were just around.

Allan K asked if she harbors any resentment towards her kids since they only visit her once in a blue moon, she replied, “Kami yata mga pa-raffle na lang.”

Mommy Angie became emotional as she shared her life of solitude. She added that she chose to be alone because she didn’t want to live with her kids. She then revealed that her kids don’t know that she would be appearing on the said noontime show.

“Actually, hindi alam ng mga anak ko na andito ako… ang nakakaalam lang ‘yung mga kaibigan ko. Busy sila—parang ano ba, may mga sasakyan naman kayo bakit hindi niyo ako madalaw, nakakapunta kayo kahit saan—bakit ako dito lang,” she said.

Joey de Leon said he understood Mommy Angie because for him, she’s the type of person who doesn’t want to bother anyone.

Her sentiments broke the hearts of netizens. One netizen wrote: “Nakakalungkot! Mapalad ang mga anak na buhay pa ang kanilang mga magulang. Kaya habang buhay pa sila, ipadama natin ang pagmamahal sa kanila. Maglaan tayo ng oras para makapiling sila. Spoil them with your love and attention kasi pag nawala na sila, baka magsisi tayo kung bakit hindi natin ginawa ang mga ito nung sila ay nabubuhay pa.”
