Bullying in Lapu-Lapu City involving teenage suspects and the minor victim
BULLYING – A group of teenage girls in Lapu-Lapu City, who were caught physically assaulting another teenager in a viral video, are now facing legal action from the parents of the victim.
In light of a recent incident in Lapu-Lapu City where a group of young girls engaged in bullying and physically assaulting another teenage girl, local authorities are urging parents to remain vigilant and provide guidance to their children when they interact with new individuals.
The incident, which occurred in Sitio Kabatuan 2 in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City on July 2, quickly gained attention after it was shared widely on social media platforms. Barangay Captain Russel Abing confirmed the occurrence of the incident in an interview with a Cebu-based radio station, dyHP.
Following the incident, the barangay officials and enforcers have managed to identify three of the teenagers involved in the bullying, as well as the victim. The parents of the 15-year-old victim, considering the incident to be highly traumatic for their daughter, have decided to take legal action against the bullies. They plan to file cases against them, seeking justice for the harm inflicted upon their child.
