Rachelle Ann Go Set To Reprise Role In PH Production Of Hamilton

RACHELLE ANN GO – The Filipina theater star is set to reprise her role in the Philippine production of smash hit musical “Hamilton” later this year.

“Hamilton” has won Grammy, Olivier, and Tony awards, as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama since it premiered on Broadway in 2015.

The Manila run will mark the Asian premiere of the smash hit musical, after shows in New Zealand and Australia.

She said in an interview with ABS-CBN News that she has been diligently practicing her lines at home in London in order to ensure her readiness for the upcoming performances in the Philippines.

The Filipina theater star also expressed great anticipation and excitement for the opportunity to perform in front of her fellow Filipinos despite the challenges.

Kung ako yung Rachelle Ann before, siguro mas matatakot ako at mas kakabahan ako. But now I feel like, I’ve done this show before and I feel like I’m gonna enjoy it in front of Pinoys,” she said.

Rachelle Ann Go and her husband Martin Spies, who got marries in 2018, have two children named Lukas and Sela.

GMG Productions officially announced the cast of the musical’s international tour in an Instagram Reel.

Aside from Rachelle, the cast of the musical includes Darnell Abraham, Akina Edmonds, Elandrah Eramiha, Jacob Guzman, Brent Hill, David Park, Deaundre’ Woods, and Jason Arrow.

According to a report on GMA News Online, “Hamilton” is making its Asian premiere in the Philippines at The Theater at Solaire on September 17, 2023.
