Elijah Canlas: “We’ve been together for two years”
ELIJAH CANLAS – The actor said that he’s hoping that actress Miles Ocampo would be his last girlfriend.
Celebrity couple Miles Ocampo and Elijah Canlas have gone public with their romance in May 2022. The couple were cast members of the 2020 drama series “Paano ang Pangako?”
Elijah appeared on Butch Francisco’s vlog on YouTube where the actor spoke about his relationship with the actress.
The actor said in an interview with Butch Francisco that he and his partner have been together for two years. He shared that he always goes into relationships thinking that he will not commit into a monogamous relationship if that is not his mindset.
Elijah was asked what makes him happy about being with Miles Ocampo. According to him, it’s the fact that he and his partner have shared experiences and interests since they belong to the same industry.
The “About Us But Not About Us” star also shared that he even had a rule for herself before, adding that he’s trying to be professional and so he doesn’t want to date people that he works with “pero iba si Miles”.
He also shared that he enjoyed his tandem with his partner because they have the same line of work, they have the same career, they understand each other, and they understand each other’s work.
With regards to the areas for improvement in their relationship, Elijah mentioned that enhancing communication is definitely a key focus, especially now that they’re spoiled with instant communication with social media, calls, and the internet.
“Communication po talaga siguro… lalo na ngayon na we are spoiled with instant communication with social media, calls and the internet,” he said. “Pero iba ‘yung communication on a deeper level na isang tingin pa lang, mas nagkakaintindihan na kayo. I think nakukuha naman ‘yun over time.”
It was last April 2023 when Elijah opened up about his relationship with Miles Ocampo and about the importance of keeping thing private in an interview on “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel” podcast.
