Elijah Canlas: “We just choose what to share”
ELIJAH CANLAS – The actor recently opened up about his relationship with his girlfriend Miles Ocampo and also shared the importance of keeping thing private.
The actor was awarded a Special Jury Prize for his role in “About Us But Not About Us” during the first-ever awards night for the 1st Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last April 11, 2023.
Elijah is one of the celebrity guests in the latest episode of “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel” podcast where he opened about his relationship with his girlfriend.
The “About Us But Not About Us” star said that he understands how some celebrities tend to be more open about their personal lives. However, for him, he prefers not to share it publicly.
According to the actor, it’s possible to have a private relationship with someone in showbiz.
“For the first year po ng relationship namin, nobody knew about it,” Elijah said about dating Miles Ocampo. “We just choose what to share, and you have to save yourself sometimes from certain things.“

The actor also said that he’s already happy with sharing snippets of his relationship with the actress at this point.
Actor Romnick Sarmenta, who won Best Actor for his role in “About Us But Not About Us”, is also one of the celebrity guest in Pia Arcangel’s podcast.
To recall, Elijah’s girlfriend shared on Instagram that she was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and had to undergo thyroidectomy surgery to remove her thyroid glands.
The actress went on to express her gratitude to her doctors, her family and friends, as well as her boyfriend and his parents at that time.
