ANDREA BRILLANTES – Here’s what the actress said when she was asked if she has forgiven her former boyfriend, basketball player Ricci Rivero.
Star Magic revealed on Monday that Andrea signed a new contract with ABS-CBN. The actress shared that staying with ABS-CBN means staying with family. She also expressed her gratitude to her supporters for seeing her potential since she started in the showbiz industry as a child star.
More than 2 months since she and her ex-boyfriend officially broke up, Andrea Brillantes said in an interview with ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of her contract signing with the Kapamilya network that she has already forgiven Ricci Rivero.
The actress also emphasized that she has already let go of any resentment or anger regarding how her relationship with her ex-boyfriend came to an end. According to her, she’s “on the way” to complete all stages of grief and skipped the “depression” stage.
She then expressed her own surprise at how swiftly she’s able to move past her “anger” phase, given that she tends to hold on to her ill feelings when betrayed. The actress also said that this experience helped her become more in tune with her genuine emotions.
However, she clarified that she’s not dismissing the emotions of those who require more time to move past their “angry” phase. She was also directly asked if she’s already forgiven her ex-boyfriend.
“I think so. Pero hindi po direkta kasi wala pa po kaming usap. Pero in my heart, yes,” she said. “In my heart, natanggap ko na lahat and willing to move forward with my life na po ako. So yes, I think napatawad ko na siya.”
According to her, she’s open to the idea of talking to Ricci should they cross paths.
It can be recalled that Ricci Rivero first confirmed his breakup with Andrea Brillantes in early June. At that time, the basketball player said that it was a “mistake” to keep the separation private despite their relationship being public.
