VANESSA HUDGENS – Netizens lectured the Filipina-American actress and singer on using ‘P’ and not ‘p’ in her Independence Day post.

Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an American actress and singer. She gained fame for her role as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series, which brought her widespread recognition.

After her involvement with the High School Musical franchise, Hudgens focused on her acting career. She appeared in various films, including “Bandslam”, “Beastly” and “Sucker Punch”, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” and “Spring Breakers”, “Second Act”, “Bad Boys for Life”, and “Tick, Tick…Boom!”.

Vanessa Hudgens was born in Salinas, California, and grew up along the West Coast. Her mother, Gina, worked in office jobs, while her father, Gregory Hudgens, was a firefighter. Her father had Irish, French, and Native American descent, while her mother is Filipina from the island of Mindanao.

Recently, she went to the social media platform, Instagram, wherein she posted a photo as the Philippines celebrate Independence Day. Her post was accompanied by the caption: “Maligayang araw ng kalayaan pilipinas! ♥️ Happy independence day philippines 🇵🇭 learning about my heritage and history was so empowering. Connecting to the land and people. Can’t wait to get back. #WeGiveTheWorldOurBest.”

Filipino netizens were quick to notice that “Pilipinas” and “Philippines” were written in small letter, “p.” The country was supposed to be in the capital letter “P”.
