Customers Discovered Newly-Born Ducklings in Balut Purchase

DAVAO DEL NORTE – Newly-born ducklings have been discovered in ‘balut’ purchase left the customers in stitches.

A video shared by Charlene Prado from Tagum City, Davao del Norte has brought laughter to social media as it reveals an unexpected surprise in their recent balut purchase. The clip showcases two trays of balut that they bought to cook and enjoy.

As they lifted one of the trays, they were greeted with the sight of several tiny ducklings, known as itik, which had already formed inside the eggs.

“Gusto lang man unta mi magluto ug Balut,” Charlene captioned her Facebook post, which featured the hilarious video.

According to Charlene, it took them 13 days before they decided to pay attention to the balut in the tray and cook some of them. As they held the trays, they heard some noise coming from underneath.

When they lifted the first tray, they discovered the partially formed ducklings and banana-shaped balut eggs.

Instead of getting angry or upset with their purchase, they placed the ducklings in a separate container, unintentionally gaining new pets in the process.

Charlene later provided updates on the ducklings in a subsequent Facebook post.

The social media users expressed their reactions to the post:
