ANJO PERTIERRA – GMA Integrated News has introduced the 27-year-old former volleyball player for the Mapua Cardinals as the newest weather presenter for Unang Hirit, GMA-7’s early morning program.

Anjo, who is also known for being a sportscaster and actor, has appeared in various TV shows and movies, including Mano Po, Regal Studio Presents, and Kurdapya. Standing at 6’2″ and with a degree in physical education, Anjo was crowned Mr. Cardinal of Mapua in 2018.

In an interview with Cabinet Files, Anjo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to him by GMA Integrated News, describing it as both a significant challenge and a great blessing. He recognized the number of people who desired the same position but felt fortunate to have been chosen to serve his fellow countrymen by providing weather updates.

Anjo Pertierra credited his talent management agency, Virtual Playground, for supporting his entertainment and sports career. Through their guidance, he explored various opportunities in acting, modeling, and sports analysis, catching the attention of GMA-7 management, who invited him to audition for GMA Integrated News.

Based on his experiences, skills, and positive personality, Anjo successfully passed the auditions and became a member of GMA Integrated News. He dedicated significant time to training and emphasized his commitment to giving his best, drawing from his athletic background and determination to succeed.

Anjo Pertierra expressed his excitement about joining Unang Hirit, a show he grew up watching every morning before going to school. He promised viewers that he would strive to deliver his best in every aspect of his work. With this new role, Anjo aims to contribute to the program and fulfill the expectations of the Kapuso community.
