Maricar Reyes: “Every day is full of little choices that will break or strengthen our marriage.”
MARICAR REYES – The actress-entrepreneur recently shared her thoughts after she and her husband Richard Poon celebrated their 10th anniversary.
Richard and Maricar got married at The Bellevue Manila in Alabang, Muntinlupa last June 9, 2013. The couple posted photos on their respective social media accounts to mark their special day.
While Richard simply captioned his post “10th”, Maricar shared her thoughts after reaching the milestone with her husband.
In the caption of her social media post, the actress-entrepreneur said that it was in 2014 when a “prominent man” told her husband about his love story.
“This prominent man also had a fairytale wedding to the woman of his dreams… But 10 years later, they separated,” she shared. “Nobody had bad intentions, they were not evil people, they just could not work out their differences.”

Maricar also said that the story of the “prominent man” is etched on their minds and is also a constant reminder to them that marriage is a work in progress. She added that their relationship can be torn apart if they’re not careful.

Before she ended her social media post, the actress-entrepreneur said that she and her husband will become even stronger in the next 10 years with the help of their godparents.
“We’re grateful that our everyday life choices until this point, got us to 10 years. Whew!” she said. “Hopefully, with the help of our beloved mentors, Ninongs & Ninangs, we will become even stronger in the next 10 years ahead.”
