Here’s the reaction of Kuya Kim on the airing of It’s Showtime on GTV
KUYA KIM – The television presenter who’s also known as Kim Atienza has shared his reaction on the airing of the Kapamilya noontime show, It’s Showtime, on GTV.
GTV, which is owned by GMA Network, is a free-to-air TV station. Kuya Kim was previously a co-host on It’s Showtime and had a long-standing association with ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs. He has since joined the Kapuso network and now has programs airing on GMA-7 and GTV.
It has been announced that It’s Showtime will begin airing on GTV starting on July 1, 2023, coinciding with the pilot telecast of the noontime show featuring Tito, Vic & Joey on TV5. Netizens took to Twitter to seek Kuya Kim’s reaction to seeing the show he was once a part of on GTV. He expressed his happiness for the show, stating that regardless of the station, It’s Showtime will always be like family to him.
When asked about his reaction to It’s Showtime moving to GTV, considering his role as one of the original hosts of the show, Kuya Kim commented that everyone will benefit from this development. He emphasized that having more shows on free TV provides viewers with more options, and he expressed his happiness for both It’s Showtime and his station, GTV.
The collaboration between GMA-7 and Kapamilya Channel began in 2022, with ABS-CBN movies airing on the Kapuso network. This year, the partnership extended to include Kapamilya and Kapuso artists collaborating for the teleserye Unbreak My Heart, which also airs on the Kapuso network.
