Lolit Solis claims TV host Willie Revillame backed out of the Viva deal

WILLIE REVILLAME – The television host backed out of the Viva deal due to a commission issue according to Lolit Solis.

Willie is a well-known personality who has made a name for himself as a television host, comedian, drummer, singer, songwriter, actor, and businessman. His career began in the late 1980s when he co-hosted the noontime variety program Lunch Date on GMA Network alongside Randy Santiago. He gained recognition for his singing talent when he performed the theme song of the TV drama series Villa Quintana as a duet with Rockstar 2. He later ventured into acting, often playing sidekick roles in movies starring prominent actors.

In 1998, Revillame started co-hosting the ABS-CBN noontime show ‘Sang Linggo nAPO Sila. He went on to host several other shows within the network, including Magandang Tanghali Bayan, Willingly Yours, Masayang Tanghali Bayan, and the highly popular Wowowee. Meanwhile, Lolit Solis claimed that Willie Revillame withdraw from the Viva tour due to the hefty commission that Viva Productions would receive from the tour. She finds it funny that despite Revillame’s reported wealth, he would back out over this matter.

According to Solis, Viva Productions is a prominent company in the entertainment industry, well-versed in the intricacies of talent fees and negotiations. She added that they have a long history of bringing celebrities abroad for concerts and investing significant sums in promotional efforts to ensure the success of their events. Lolit said it is quite surprising, then, that only now has a star voiced complaints about the commission arrangement.
