Birthday greeting of Miss Universe Philippines to Shamcey Supsup earns mixed reactions
SHAMCEY SUPSUP – The birthday greeting of Miss Universe Philippines to its national director has elicited comments from the netizens.
Shamcey Gurrea Supsup-Lee is an architect, beauty pageant titleholder, and pageant organization director. She gained prominence after winning the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 crown and representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant held in São Paulo, Brazil, where she secured the 3rd Runner-Up position. In 2019, Supsup was appointed as the national director of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.
Supsup was born in Iligan, Lanao del Norte, and later moved to General Santos with her family. She was primarily raised by her father while her mother worked overseas. Despite helping her father on a farm, she excelled academically, becoming the valedictorian in grade school and the salutatorian in high school. She pursued architecture at the University of the Philippines Diliman, graduating magna cum laude. Additionally, she topped the licensure examination for architects in the Philippines in 2010.
Recently, Miss Universe Philippines took to its official Facebook page wherein it posted a birthday greeting to Shamcey Supsup as she celebrates her 37th birthday. Apparently, it was flooded with varied comments from the netizens.
Most of the comments have something to do with the results of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 in which actress Michelle Dee won the title. Among the crowd’s favorite is Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol who was crowned as Miss Supranational Philippines 2023. Check out some of the remarks by netizens:
