Heart Evangelista speaks on alleged snub of Alex Gonzaga and Dra. Vicki Belo
HEART EVANGELISTA – The actress and fashion icon finally addressed the controversy surrounding Vicki Belo and Alex Gonzaga’s claims of being snubbed by her at the Milan Fashion Week.
Months after the incident made headlines, Heart explained her side of the story, stating that she was actually busy and didn’t have the opportunity to meet with other people during the event. In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on May 12, Heart clarified that she didn’t see them at the event and emphasized that her purpose was not to engage in casual conversations but to immerse herself in the art of fashion.
“Hindi ko naman siya nakita,” Heart Evangelista stressed. “I’m not there to chit chat. I’m there to immerse myself. Para sa mga hindi nakakaintindi, [fashion] is art. And you appreciate art. For me, ‘yun talaga ang hilig ko eh.”
She expressed her genuine passion for fashion and emphasized that her focus during the fashion show was intense, particularly because it was a Gucci show. She described how the models on stage, including twins, captivated her attention to the point that she didn’t notice anyone else.
Heart Evangelista expressed gratitude for being invited to the event despite acknowledging that there were bigger stars in attendance. She shared her belief that pursuing what one loves and staying true to oneself can lead to personal success, no matter how unique or unconventional one’s interests may be.
Meanwhile, Alex Gonzaga clarified on Facebook back then that she and Heart did not actually meet in Milan and that their exchange was merely a playful joke. She emphasized their friendship and expressed disappointment that such trivial matters were blown out of proportion.
