In an interview with Boy Abunda, the singer shared three tips for aspiring singers who want to join singing contests.

According to her, aspiring singers should first know what they’re singing and should also know the song by heart as well. Second, she said that it’s important for aspiring singers to know their purpose – be it in the singing contests or in life.

Kailangan ‘yung bawat performance mo po, alam mo ‘yung kinakanta mo. Hindi mo lang memorize ‘yung lyrics, pero alam mo ‘yung kanta by heart,” she said. “Dapat alam mo ‘yung purpose mo kasi I think sa paraan na po ‘yun, alam mo ‘yung inspirations mo and motivation mo.

Third, she shared that aspiring singers should not give up no matter what happens in the battle they’re facing. She added that aspiring singers should believe that there should be a right time for every dream they have in their life.

In the same interview, she spoke about working as a young singer in the showbiz industry, describing it as “very challenging”. She also admitted to having wondered many times if being in the industry is worth it.

According to her, such moments didn’t last long as she overcomes them with love.
