Former actress Klaudia Koronel speaks on divorce from her ex-husband
KLAUDIA KORONEL – The former Seiko Films actress opened up about her past experiences to prevent her divorce from her ex-husband, Andy Zhang, a Chinese-American businessman.
Klaudia and Andy got married in the United States on August 28, 2009. However, their marriage ended in divorce.
Klaudia Koronel revealed that she had gone through extreme emotional turmoil during her divorce, including sobbing, kneeling, and even trying to take her own life to prevent her husband from leaving her.
Klaudia also shared a recent Facebook post where she revealed that Andy had contacted her after the death of his sister due to cancer. She mentioned that Andy’s 85-year-old mother was also struggling with the loss of her youngest child, and Klaudia empathized with his pain, as she had also experienced a similar loss when her own father passed away while she was unable to be with him due to her husband’s refusal to let her go.
Klaudia Koronel further disclosed that she had been a victim of verbal abuse from her Chinese-American husband, who would often insult and belittle her, her family, and her Filipino heritage. She stated that she had refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, which led to their separation.
