Netizens remember Jovit Baldivino on the voice of TNT contender

JOVIT BALDIVINO – Some social media users became emotional while watching the performance of Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant Akie Erika Cedilla with others claiming that his voice sounded like the late singer.

Baldivino gained popularity after winning the first season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010 and taking home a prize of P2 million. He earned the nickname “Next Super Star” for his performances of “Mahal Pa Rin” and “Faithfully.”

Following his success on PGT, he joined the cast of the musical series “Idol” alongside Coco Martin and Sarah Geronimo, and also appeared in “Growing Up” with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in 2012.

However, on December 9, 2022, Jovit Baldivino passed away at the age of 29 due to a blood clot in his brain and a stroke. According to his family, he had suffered his first stroke on November 22 and was advised by doctors to rest and avoid strenuous activities.

Despite this, he performed at a Christmas party in early December at the request of his friends and fans. He sang three songs but then suffered a second stroke and was rushed to the hospital, where a CT scan revealed a blood clot in his brain. He underwent surgery, but remained unconscious for five days before ultimately passing away due to an aneurysm.

It has been three months since he passed away, however, his memory still remains. In fact, many netizens became emotional while watching the performance of Tawag ng Tanghalan contender Akie Erika Cedilla, claiming that his voice sounded like the late singer.

The “Vocalist Rider” of Pasay City sang Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin which was also popularized by Jovit Baldivino. Watch his performance in the video below:
