Netizens ‘Kinabahan’ on Viral Black and White Photo of Dagul

Viral black and white photo of Dagul

DAGUL – Netizens gave a second look to the viral black and white photo of the former Goin’ Bulilit mainstay.

Dagul, whose real name is Romeo “Romy” Pastrana, is a politician, actor, and comedian, who has dwarfism. In 1998, he was scouted by singer-host Randy Santiago, who later dubbed him “Dagul,” a Pampanga colloquial term for tall or big, in contrast to his short stature.

He rose to prominence as Long Mejia’s sparring partner in GMA’s now-defunct comedy sitcom Kool Ka Lang. They later moved to ABS-CBN, however, their tandem split up.

He was a regular on the defunct sitcom Ok Fine Whatever and Goin’ Bulilit. He is the only adult in the hit children’s Sunday gag show and unlike the other child cast from the show, he never “graduate”.

Currently, Dagul is making rounds online following a black and white photo of him with his full name written on it. The photo earned a second look from the netizens.

The photo was accompanied by the caption: “Romeo ‘Dagul’ Pastrana, kilala bilang isang Filipino actor, comedian, at host sa isang sikat na TV program na Goin’ Bulilit. Nakakagulat na isipin na sa edad na 63, Kaninang 8:45am natagpuan na 83 ang kaniyang score sa videoke.”

Among the pages that posted the said photo of the comedian is “Rakista Days.” But the page clarified that they are not behind the viral photo. The page decided not to take down the post despite receiving negative comments since the photo is not a fake news.

Meanwhile, Dagul has yet to give any reaction on the said photo.
