MARCO GUMABAO – The actor revealed being bullied by his classmates after his father, Dennis Roldan, was arrested for kidnapping in February 2005.

Marco Gumabao is an actor-model who came from a family of actors, with his mother being the actress and politician, Bing Pimentel, and his uncle, Michael de Mesa, being a well-known actor in the Philippines.

Marco Gumabao started his acting career in 2010, appearing in various television shows and movies. He gained popularity for his roles in the romantic-comedy film “Just The Way You Are” and the hit television series “A Love to Last”. He has also starred in several other movies and TV shows such as “Para sa Broken Hearted”, “Block Z”, “Unforgettable”, and “He’s Into Her”.

Aside from acting, Marco Gumabao is also a successful model, having worked with various fashion brands and magazines.

In a recent presscon as per PEP.ph, the 28-year-old actor revealed that he was bullied by his classmates after his father, Dennis Roldan, was arrested for kidnapping in February 2005. Around 20-30 police officers arrived at their house to apprehend his father, and he was roughly 10 years old at that time.

Marco shared that his experience with bullying made him stronger, but he also learned how to avoid being bullied in school and did not become a bully himself. As an actor, he also learned not to be affected by criticisms and to respond to bashers with kindness or simply ignore them.

Marco discussed bullying during a press conference for his new comedy series with Yassi Pressman, emphasizing the need to be more careful with our words and actions, especially in the age of social media where bullying can take various forms.
