In an interview with Boy Abunda, the award-winning actress and former beauty queen, shared that she had tried dating her co-star in the movie Baby Boy, Baby Girl, several years ago but their romance did not work out.
She spoke candidly about the relationship, revealing that they dated before she even met her ex-boyfriend, Jake Cuenca. “Siguro, a long time before Jake [Cuenca], long way before Jake, mga two years [before Jake]. We tried. We tried it out, but bata pa kami nun eh,” she said.
According to Kylie, she and Marco have maintained a friendly relationship and have not revisited their past romantic connection. She described Marco as intelligent and level-headed, which are qualities she admires in him as a person and as a co-star.
Interestingly, Kylie also disclosed that she and Jake have not communicated with each other since their breakup. The couple were together for three years before they called it quits in April 2022, and the reasons behind the separation remain undisclosed.
Meawhile, Kylie Verzosa and Marco Gumabao are now starring in the upcoming film, Baby Boy, Baby Girl, directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, which is set to be released in theaters on March 22. Despite their history together, Kylie and Marco have maintained a professional relationship on set and have worked together to bring their characters to life.
