Bar passer submits application to a coffee shop
RESUME – The curriculum vitae submitted by one of the applicants of a coffee shop has earned mixed reactions online.
A curriculum vitae (CV) or resume is a document used to showcase an individual’s qualifications, skills, and experiences when applying for jobs or academic programs. It provides a summary of the applicant’s education, employment history, achievements, and relevant skills.
A well-crafted CV or resume can help to make a positive impression on potential employers or admissions committees and can increase an individual’s chances of getting the job or acceptance into a program. It is important to tailor the CV or resume to the specific job or program, proofread it thoroughly, and ensure that it is error-free and polished.
Speaking of which, a coffee shop called Felisa’s Grind and Brew took to social media earlier sharing the resume submitted by one of their applicants. “While scrolling the resume of our applicants, we found this,” the coffee shop noted. “Mam, BARISTA po hanap namin hindi po BAR PASSER,” it added.
The post has gone viral, garnering more than 4k reactions, over 300 comments and was shared for more than 2k shares.
“Sorry. I do not understand why people considered over qualified aren’t accepted in the job. Maybe this person wants to further improve their people skills so that later in life they are better equip to provide quality service,” a netizen commented.
Meanwhile, the coffee shop explained in the comments section that they did receive an application from a lawyer who is a friend of theirs. The lawyer, on the other hand, stated that she submitted her resume along with her friends who are also lawyers just for fun.
