Vilma Santos Faces Fast Talk with Boy Abunda
VILMA SANTOS – The actress-politician admitted that she is going through challenges now but assured that she will survive.
In both showbiz and politics, one of the most popular personalities is former Batangas governor Vilma Santos. Her showbiz career came ahead of her career in public service. She is one of the multi-awarded actresses in the Philippine showbiz industry.
Also called Ate Vi, Vilma earned the title as the Philippines’ Star for All Seasons. She is six-time FAMAS awardee and she also bagged two Circles of Excellence Awards. She was also given a a Lifetime Achievement Award and a Hall of Fame award.
Vilma Santos was in showbiz industry for several years of her life and she continues to accept guest appearances in some shows and programs. Her showbiz career went a bit inactive when she entered public service and served the people of Batangas for several years.
Meanwhile, despite being inactive in her showbiz career, the Vilmanians continued to support the actress-politician even in her work in Batangas. With regards to her political career, she has always been vocal about her gratitude that her husband, House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto, is there to guide her.
Ate Vi has two (2) sons – Luis Manzano and Ryan Christian Santos Recto. Her eldest son is her son with her ex-husband, actor Edu Manzano. Recently, the actress-politician appeared as a guest on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
During her guest appearance on Fast Talk, Vilma Santos went emotional when asked about the investment scam issue that her son, Luis Manzano, is being linked. She stressed that her son is a good person. She asked for prayers from her friends for her son and assured Luis that “the truth will prevail”.
During the Fast Talk, when she was asked to complete the phrase “Ako po si Vilma Santos at ako ay…”, here’s the answer of the actress-politician:
“Ako po si Vilma Santos at ako po ay dumaraan sa pagsubok ngayon pero makaka-survive.”
