Rodelyn Perez Reacts as Eman Pacquiao’s Camp Files Complaint
RODELYN PEREZ – The professional boxer drew attention on social media after posting a message that many netizens believed was directed at Eman Bacosa Pacquiao. The post came shortly after Eman’s camp filed a complaint with the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) following their June 21 fight for the Philippine Boxing Federation Lightweight Championship, where Perez won by knockout.
The complaint was filed by Eman’s mother and manager, Joanna Rose Bacosa-Dino. She claimed that Perez repeatedly threw illegal rabbit punches, or punches to the back of the head, during the match. She also questioned the referee’s performance, alleging that he failed to issue warnings or take action despite the repeated blows. According to Joanna, rabbit punches are banned in boxing because they can cause serious injuries and put a fighter’s safety at risk.
After the complaint became public, Perez shared a social media post saying she felt discouraged about boxing. She also suggested that people who cannot accept defeat should reconsider joining the sport. Although she did not mention any names, many netizens believed the message was aimed at Eman and his camp because of the timing of her post.
