It was just last month when a certain Jenica Soriano took to social media wherein she posted a video of an LGBTQ member belting the song “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw” while sitting on the chair. The rendition was posted on Facebook with the caption: “Mori inupuan lang ni ate uh huhu galing nakakalula yung boses siguro pag ako next song dyan uuwi na ako.”

The video of the LGBTQ member singing the song while effortlessly hitting the high notes has garnered more than 2.7 million views as of press time. It also earned mixed reactions from the netizens. Many expressed their admiration to the singer’s voice. However, there were some who compared the voice of the LGBTQ member with Morissette.

One netizen said: “When Morissette sang this, I find her somehow very uncomfortable 🤔😅 but this girl …..well, seem like it’s been just so very easy for her.” Another netizen commented: “Ang galing naman ni Ate Girl, kinaya yung kanta ni Morisette..good job po..and wag na nating pagtalunan kung sino ang mas magaling..maging proud na lang tayo sa kanila pareho.”

Meanwhile, “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw” is an original song of Sheryn Regis. But it became popular this year when it became the theme song of the hit teleserye, The Broken Marriage Vow. The theme song of the series starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo and Sue Ramirez was popularized by Morissette Amon.
