Darna star Janella Salvador talks about “higop” scene with Joshua Garcia
JANELLA SALVADOR – The Mars Ravelo’s Darna star explained her viral “higop” scene with Joshua Garcia that made a buzz on social media.
It was on October last year when the television series which is about to end tonight trended because of the kissing scene between Janella and Joshua. In the said episode, Regina (Janella) was picked up at her office by an impostor who looked exactly like Brian (Joshua). The latter unexpectedly kissed Regina.
The online community responded with cheers and ‘kilig’ to the intense kissing scene. The intimate scene quickly went viral online, eliciting a variety of reactions from social media users. As a result of his passionate kissing scene with the actress, Joshua Garcia has been dubbed the “Higop King”.
During the finale conference of Mars Ravelo’s Darna, Janella Salvador shared some details about that kissing scene. According to her, she and Joshua talked before doing the “higop” scenario. She said that they did not feel any awkwardness while kissing the actor, intensely.
“Actually when we did it, hindi naman awkward kasi beforehand, pinag-usapan namin na, ‘Oh, we’re gonna have a kissing scene.’ Actually not just one kissing scene, basta malala pa siya, so first time ko ‘yon gawin on-screen,” she said.
When asked if she and Joshua practiced the “higop” scene beforehand, she couldn’t help but laugh at the query.
Meanwhile, Darna which also stars with Jane de Leon is set to conclude tonight, February 10, 2023. It will be replaced by FPJ’s Batang Quiapo headlined by Coco Martin, Lovi Poe, Charo Santos and to name a few.
