The Taiwanese woman took her time getting ready, but was dismayed when she and her husband arrived at the store. While the store was indeed called “Chanel,” it turned out to be a shop selling goose meat, not designer clothing.

According to a news article published on February 23, 2023, the prank was played by the husband back in December 2022. In a Facebook post, the husband revealed that his wife had gone missing for two days after the prank.

The wife had believed that her husband was taking her to the real Xiangnai’er (the Mandarin translation of Chanel). The husband claimed that it took his wife almost an hour to put on her makeup. However, when they arrived at the “Chanel” store selling only goose meat, the wife was shocked and didn’t speak at all.

Netizens joked that the husband’s happy days were over, and that the wife had gone shopping with a sharp knife from a hardware store. One person advised the husband to check their household registration, in case the wife had already filed for divorce.

Despite being angry with her husband, the wife eventually replied to his Facebook post. She threatened her husband to be ready for her revenge.

In the husband’s latest post, he joked that he was okay and had only a few cuts. He added that he had received emergency treatment. Meanwhile, men should avoid playing pranks related to fashion and beauty, which are weaknesses of women.
